Tropical Depression Sixteen formed east of the Bahamas on the morning of October 11 and became Tropical Storm Patty later in the afternoon.

Patty hung on to tropical storm status for around 24 hours before being downgraded to a depression on the afternoon of October 12.
The final advisory for Patty was issued by the National Hurricane Center on the morning of October 13.
Patty did not bring any significant impacts to land during its short life cycle.
